Course content may be accessed through this site, and or third party web sites. You will be able to view course content before deciding to take the post-course test for credit.
Please note that courses may have expiry dates which are published on this site. While we make effort to provide accurate information on accreditation, including course expiry dates, it is your responsibility to determine the validity of the course for accreditation with your specific regulatory authority. Please note that individual licensing authorities may require a different passing grades and site users are advised to check with their specific state/province licensing body in this regard
Some courses require online payment to access the post-course test. Once the course is purchased you will have three opportunities to achieve the passing grade. After the third attempt, you will need to repurchase the exam before trying again.
Courses may also be provided on a complimentary basis via an education grant by third parties, referred to as a “Granted Course”. In such instances there is either no or a reduced cost to the course taker. In such instances, the third-party grantor to the course will be clearly identified. Such courses, however, are subject to the same post-course test and certificate generation as indicated above. By enrolling in a “granted course”, the user is providing permission to be contacted by OptikConEd on behalf of the granting organization. In certain cases, enrollment may also grant permission to be contacted directly by the granting organization. Such instances will be clearly marked for your attention.
In order to purchase a course, you will need to provide payment information. This information is handled by a trusted third-party payment provider (i.e. PayPal). We do not store, either temporarily or permanently, any of credit card details on our site or servers. We may, however, store other information, including but not limited to your country, province/state, license#, name, email address, login credentials and course information, including course test results, in order to improve your user experience on this site. We may, from time to time, communicate with you about features of our site, new course offerings, and/or specific information from course grantors.
Use of this site grants us the permission to contact you in this regard. You will be able to unsubscribe to these email notifications at any time by deleting your account. Update of subscriber status may take up to 10 work days.
If you do unsubscribe, we may still require to occasionally send an email relating to site use and maintenance, e.g. password maintenance, confirmation of account information changes and/or receipts generated when you make a purchase. You may delete your account entirely from the site at any time. In such instances all functionality of the site will be lost, including course records and any certificates that would have otherwise been available toyou.
Registration enables you to access post-course tests. When you register, an account is created for you on our server. You may access your account and any information we have stored about you in your dashboard. Information on specific registrants is held in strict confidence and is not shared with any third parties.
We will never share your email, name or personally identifiable information or exam results with any person or organization without your express permission except and unless when formally requested by any State's or Province's Board/College and/or other licensing authority and as except as indicated above in the TERMS OF SERVICE. In such cases we will provide the information needed to verify your participation details and examination results.
